Q. I am in week one of my tretment and I haev noticed a small tera in my aligner. Because of this it makes it difficult for me to get the aligner in and out. What should be done in this situation?,
A. I would recommend you see your dentist as it is very difficult to say without seeing the aligner.

Q. I am currently unemployed and am in desperate need of getting my teeth sorted. I can assure you that I am no jobless bum who just sits on his ass but is there anyway at all that I will be able to get Invisalign at a cheaper price or any kind of help for me please.,
A. Unfortunately invisalign is only available privately. Prices start from £1500 for milder cases and finance options are available at many clinics to help you spread the cost over 1 to 5 years.

Q. Tomorrow I will be going to get my first set of trays but I am suddenly feeling very nervous about my treatment. I gues this is to be expected but it is things like the attachments that are making me really nervous and how obvious they will be? The effect it will have on my talking is another major concern but Iam hoping you can offer some calming words. Now breathe…,
A. The attachments are very discreet as they match the colour of your teeth. Your speech may be temporarily be affected and you may have a temporary slight lisp but within a day or two you will get use to it.

A. The glue is the same as white filling material, so it should not be a problem Dr Kumar

Q. At what stage of invisalign treatment is it normally decided whether refinements will be needed or not? I am coming to the end of my treatment and feel that there is still room for improvement. Shoudl I say something to my dentist or will it happen anyway?,
A. I think it is always wise to speak to your dentist about any concerns you have at whatever stage of treatment. If it is too early in the treatment, at least you will get reassurance.

Q. I\’m having really bad mouth troubles with the invisalign in! they\’re causing too much saliva and it\’s dusgusting, what can i do to stop it? thanks,
A. Every patient salivates differently. There are only tablets for excessive salivation, which I would not recommend. Please ask your dentist to see if the aligners are not fitting and saliva is pooling Dr R Kumar BDSLDSRCS
