Q. I am to have a consultation for invisalign next week and have now heard about the clincheck video or something like that which will be shown of how treatment will go. When will I get to see this?
A.
If you decide you are interested in invisalign at your consultation appointment, you will have moulds taken to be sent off to the States so that the Clincheck can be made. A few weeks later you will be shown the Clincheck video.

Q. When taking out the aligners to eat are they really noticeable and hard to get out or is it not too bad? For example, lets say I am out for a meal on a date and need tlo take them out. Am I best skipping off to the loo to do it?
A. Certain position of the teeth and the attachments might make it difficult to remove the aligner for the first time but it gets easier day by day. You might want to consider to skip to the rest room to sort out your Invisalign especially it is a first date.

Q. During the free consultation that many practices offer will it be possible to see someone actually wearing the braces? I don’t really trust pictures so would much rather see how good they look when someone is wearing them and I know it for a fact.
A. well it depends where you go. Im wearing an aligner and am based in London.

Q. Are there any foods that should not be eaten when undergoing invisalign treatment? I mean when taking my aligners out to ear that is, not with them in. Things like toffee for example.
A. sugary foods should be avoided as bits left behind could cause decay. also dont drinl fizzy drinks with them in

Q. Can invisalign help to improve the bite. My bite has never felt quite right as it overlaps more than it shoud. I think it is called an open or closed bite, something along those lines anyway. I know invisalign is good for straightening teeth but what about this?
A. It can help your bite depending on the severity, it is difficult to answer your question without seeing you. Sometimes elastic bands are added to the treatment to help the bite and in some cases invisalign is just not the best treatment.

Q. Do you know if it is at all possible to start with fixed braces to move the teeth a bit and then move onto invisalign to finish the job off? I would rather do this than just go with horrible looking fixed braces and I thinkg this would speed up the process rather than just having invisalign?
A. Hello,
It is possible but you might not want to do it that way. I advise a consultation with an Orthododntist .

Q. I am coming to the end of my treatment with just three weeks left and my teeth do look a lot better but my bite feels strange. My teeth do not close as they used to and I think they have been moved wrongly. Does this ever happen for patients? What can be done if this is the case?
A. you probably need some adjustment to your bite, this is quite common as teeth never quite fit into a new bite/smile

Q. Are there any little teeth cleaning kits that can be bought to help with cleaning invisalign. Something that would be good to take when travelling on planes, etc?
A. Some people like to soak their aligners in “retainer brite” these are tablets that dissolve in water. You can buy travel toothbrushes which are smaller.

Q. Are attachments used for everyone or are they only for cases in which they are needed? Do they effect the aesthetic appearrance of the teeth or do they not really make much of a difference? I have heard they can make it quite hard to get the aligners on and off?
A. Hello,
That is the purpose of the aligner to grab the teeth and stabilize the aligner. White filling attachments are tooth coloured and hardly visible. Attachments are not necessarily needed in each and evey cases . Should you need some the dentist can tell you based on your ClinCheck
