Q. My front tooth is twisted and the dentist said he would be able to fix this with invisalign, i\’ve suffered pain and discomfort for around 10 weeks now from this front tooth and it STILL hasn\’t moved back inline with the rest of my teeth, I only have a few more weeks to go with the treatment now and I\’m really worried that the tooth will remain twisted, what can I do? I really need a professionals advice,

A. Invisalign allows for refinement of a case,whereby more aligners are made to further correct or complete the case. There are no additional charge. Please check with your orthodontist

Q. I\’m new to invisalign so I don\’t know why it keeps happening but every time I remove my trays they break! My orthodontist is getting pretty annoyed with me now but I have no idea why it\’s happening and he isn\’t being very helpful! Please can you help me?,
A. The breakage could be associated with the way the aligners are removed .

Q. i\’m coming to the end of my treatment now and have to wear a retainer. i was wondering what the retainer will be like? will it be visible or can i have one that goes behind my teeth if it\’s a permanent one?,
A. There are various forms of retainers. Invisalign vivera retainers are similar to your aligners but thicker and stronger. You have the option of a fixed wire retainer at the back of your teeth

Q. Would you be able to tell me how many refinements are included in an invisalign treatment? I am on my second to last aligner and I can tell that I am going to need refinements but this is something I didn\’t really consider before. Would you be able to give me the answer please.?,
A. The number of refinement depends on the case type. It is between 0-3. In a full arch case you get 3 refinements

Q. Are the retainers that you get following the invisalign treatment just as invisible? How long do they normally need to be worn and how long will they last. Would I possible need to buy another one in the future. Sorry about all the questions!,
A. The retainers are like invisalign just thicker. Retention is an indefinite thing. You would need new ones in the future.

Q. Hello i don\’t think my aligners are working. i\’m on tray 12/18 and there is no movement, my teeth still look pretty crooked, surely they can\’t be fixed in 6 other treatments if nothing has happened yet! what should i do?,

Q. hey, my dentist said i needed to order a retainer to finish off my invisalign treatment but he said i should order 3 and it\’s going to cost me around £500! is this really necessary? Do i really have to order all three??,
A. Align technology the company that does invisalign provide a special retainer called Vivera. It comes as a set of 3. Ideally it should come as part of your invisalign treatment and no additional fee.

Q. I\’ve just found out that my case is more complex than what my orthodontist thought, it means i have to wear the aligners for longer but i already paid for my treatment, do i have to pay extra for the extra time? Surely it\’s not my fault that he didn\’t spot the problems!,
A. Invisalign treatment incorporates refinement which is for minor correction or finishing a case.There are not additional charge for these in some case type. It depends on what was agreed with the dentist at the start.
