When I am given retainers after invisalign is completed will I need to wear them at day or only at night? Are they discreet like the aligners themselves of do they have wires?

I only got invisalign last friday but have sufferred endlessly from dry mouth and lips. I have therefore had to drink copious amounts of water to try and get rid of the problem. Is this something that is likely to sort itself out soon?

I left my aligners at home this weekend when I went away by accident. That meant two days without wearing them and now when I got back the set I am on feel fine, thought a little tight. If I was to wear them a couple more days after end point for them then would they be okay? I will make sure to tell my dentist. But, I was thinking how long would be the absolute maximum that you could not wear the aligners say half way through treatment? I do not plan on doing this by the way. I’m not that stupid.
