Q. I had the invisalign treatment last year and everything seemed great, I was given retainers to wear etc and my teeth looked amazing! I have noticed just recently that my teeth are moving again and they\’re not looking as great as they once did, as you can imagine I\’m very concerned but I don\’t know who to talk to about this, the lady that gave me the invisalign has moved on to another practice! Thank you for your time.,
A. Hello, You might want to call your Invisalign dentist and book an appointment. You could always wear the removable retainer for longer hours than you used to( even during the day).If it is not enought you migh twant to consider fixed retainer for a while.

Q. Hi there, I just got my invisaligns today and i have though of some questions.. Can you brush your teeth with an electric toothbrush if your dentist has put attachments on your teeth? will the electric tooth brush make the attachments come off or become loose? second can i work out at the gym with my invisaligns on? Also i go to the dry sauna quite often after my workouts.. can I go into the sauna with my invisaligns on? or will it melt the plastic?,
A. Hello, You can brush your teeth with the attachments on. Should one of them came off, the dentist could easily fit a new one back on your tooth. Working out, simming is ok with the aligners on.For the sauna you might want to take it out for that short period of time anyway.

Q. hello i have just recently received invisalign and it\’s great, it\’s not the problem. However i\’ve had a porcelain crown fixed for around 5 years now and since wearing the aligners it\’s becoming very loose and i fear that it will fall out. Is there some way i can get the aligners loosened around that tooth? the orthodontist did say the crown could not be moved but it does feel very loose.,
A. Hello, The best is to book an appointment with the dentist. During ortho treatment the teeth feel loose/ mobile and it is normal. However if the crown needs treatment it is better to sort it out.

Q. I accidentally put in one of my old trays, i got them mixed up and now my teeth are very painful. What should i do? Does this mean that i have to start my treatment from the beginning? I\’ve tried placing in the trays that i was supposed to be using but now they don\’t fit :(,
A. Hello, If you put in your previous set of aligners just carry on wearing them and book an appointment to see your provider.Your treatment might take a few more weeks longer then it was planned. The provider will decide whether you need mid-course correction or you can just carry on with the originally planned aligners.

Q. Hi, I have recently finished my Invisalign Treatment I had 7 trays in total and my treatment lasted 3 months. I was charged Invisalign prirces rather than Invisaglin express prices, is this correct? To begin with my problem was cosmetic my front tooth had moved out by about 2mm. I would be grateful for your advice. Many Thanks.
,
A. Hello Sarah, Every dentist charges different based on his experince, difficulty of the case and postop treatments/follow -ups or the type of reatiner he uses.I am afraid the laboratory fee is quite high at Invisalign.

Q. Ever since having the aligners etc i\’ve experienced very tender gums which now bleed every time i brush my teeth! I have ulcers on my tongue and very bad breath and i have no idea why, it\’s been since i started invisalign! What can I do to stop all of this? I\’m contemplating just getting rid of invisalign..,
A. Hello, First of all, you might want to call your dentist and book an appointment regarding the ulcer on tongue. He could easily smoooth the aligner to eliminate the rough edges. Secondly, it is important to brush and floss your teeth after meals. If you wish you could use mouthwash as well. Not to eat and drink anything with aligners in your mouth besides water. Finally, the dentist could also check the bleeding gum and he could refer you to see a Hygenist for a cleaning. The discomfort you experience should disappear soon!

Q. I started my invisalign treatment few days ago. In my first day of wearing them I started to have very strong feeling of vomiting. I took them out for the night yesterday evening because even after I eat I had this strong feeling. My doctor already put 8 attachments on my teeth which makes me very uncomfortable without the trays. I signed the contract without giving me 5 minutes to read this. My doctor didn\’t explain me anything and I am not happy at all with her attitude. I already gave a lot of money and I don\’t know anything about what\’s going on. Yesterday I read on the Internet that usually it\’s not good to have in the first day the attachments for some reason. Is this true? What can I do? Can I change my doctor or can I choose another brace? Can I quit if I can\’t become used with this? I need to work and I need to live my life normally, my health is more important for me than this treatment I am waiting your answer. Thank you very much.,
A. Hello, Minor discomfort can be accepted during the firts couple of your aligners. If the aligner is hurting you it could be smoothed as well. Regarding the attachment everybody`s treatment is different and the Clincheck ( your digital plan by Invisalign) tells when to put them on. I would advise you to have an appointment with your provider and in the mean time try to increase the time the aligner is on your teeth.

Q. I forgot to write: my doctor didn\’t show me the 3D picture what the invisalign company sent it to see how my teeth will look when I finish the treatment. I didn\’t see anything, I don\’t know anything about all this treatment. Is this ok and normal? I never went to a dental clinic before in England and even my intuititon told me during the last months that something is not quite right I didn\’t stop. Is it too late now to change thinks? Thanks.,
A. Hello, The ClinCheck mainly helps the doctor to plan and follow up your treatment. Try to finish at least your first aligner and see how it goes. I am sure with time the discomfort dissapears. Also I would advise you to see your dentist.

Q. I have a dental implant in my front right tooth and looking to get invisalign, is this wise? Can the invisalign damage the implant? thank you.,
A. Hello, The Invisalign will not be able to move the Implated tooth but all the reamining teeth might be able to have Invisalign. The best is to have a consultation at a Clinic where both an Implant Specialist and an Invisalign provider could have a look at the implant and your teeth prior starting Invisalign .
