My teeth are aching lots and my gums are very tender, why is this?

Q. Hello i\’m experiencing a lot of pain and discomfort from my new aligners (13/21) upper jaw, my teeth are aching a lot and my gums are very tender too. Why is this? Is there anything I can do to ease the pain? I\’ve noticed a little blood on my aligners too!,

A. They could be compressing the gums have your dentist check for tight spots. This aligner may be trying to move a more stubborn tooth. You may need to wear this aligner a bit longer before moving to the next one to ensure all the movement is complete.
