My veneers are ruined because of the aligners, can I charge my dentist for this?

Q. I had 4 veneers on my front teeth when the aligners were fitted etc and now they have chipped rather badly. My orthodontist said they would be fine and never placed any protection over the veneers or anything. Can I charge him for ruining my expensive veneers?,

A. I really cannot comment on why they have chipped. Did he/she do any stripping between the veneers? Dr R Kumar
