Q. Dear Dr Sepherara, I am looking to correct a minor problem with my front teeth. I have read about the Simpli5 treatment on the internet and this sounds ideal as it is for minor corrections. Do you offer this service? Thanks,,
A. Yes, we do offer clear braces. Simpli5 is the make of the clear braces, there are many labs in the uk and around the world that construct clear braces as well, such as Invisalign, Clearstep and other local labs.

Q. I know this site is dedicated to invisalign but would you please be able to tell me what the actual difference is between invisalign and clear step braces? Are they not just along the same lines.
A. NO, THEY ARE NOT.
clearstep does not involve any scanning/ rapid prototyping/ 3D technology.
What you get are technicians creating plaster models, cutting the stone teeth, resetting them to another position and then creating gum shields to try to move the teeth. Impressions are done ever 3 months as this technique is not accurate and only useful for easy cases.
Invisalign is created by Align Technology, a 4Bllion dollar company, which involves the above processes that Clearstep, and other copy companies are not doing.
If CS was that good then I would have switched 5 years ago. Invisalign works in my hands.

Q. I just had my invisalign braces put in yesterday. My voice is a bit messed up and there is minimal pain, but its not too bad. I would just like to know how long it takes before your voice returns to its normal way (if it will that is)?
A. It takes about 2 days; all you have to do is pronounce a bit better.

Q. hello is invisalign faster than clearstep or is it the same. I went to see a dentist in orphington and he doesnt do invisalign and says the reason he doesn’t do it is because clearstep is faster than invisalign and its cheaper
A. hi
each case is different. At our practice we provide both clearstep and invisalign and I will provide one type of treatment option over the other depending on the case.

Q. is clearstep better than invisalign my dentist does clearstep and said this is much better and faster than invisalign so i wanted to check with the invisalign experts before deciding what to have done. I have been quoted £4200 for clearstep treatment does this sound about right?
A. Price wise they are both very similar. I have used both systems and I have generally found that clearstep takes longer. I still use clearstep for certain cases. You may want to get an invisalign consultation so you can compare.
