What does invisalign do?

October 8th, 2009
Q.
I am contemplating getting invisalign braces but have just one question in relation to the treatment. Is it down to the invisalign company or the actual orthodontist as to how aligners will move the teeth, and the eventual outcome, if you know what I mean? Ortho experience bumps up the price so I presume this must play some major part.

October 8th, 2009
Q.
Is invisalign capable of moving teeth where there are quite a few crowns, or will this only cause damage to the crowns, and possibly, the braces? Thank you in advance.

What is the IPR procedure?

October 8th, 2009
Q.
I have been looking into invisalign treatment, and have read that some patients get what is called IPR. I understand this is something to do with removing small portions of teeth to create space. I would just like to know how it is the dentist decides which teeth he/she is to shorten?

Is it normal to feel discomfort when removing aligners?

October 8th, 2009
Q.
I finally got my invisalign aligners yesterday. I am finding it difficult to pull them out, what with the pain thecy cause, but it is the tightness which causes the most problems. It feels like I have to pull on them too hard to get them out and this may cuase damage to the aligners and my teeth. Any help?
