My bottom teeth are still crooked after my treatment, what should I do?

April 22nd, 2010

Q. Hey, i\’m nearing to end of my treatment now and my bottom row of teeth don\’t seem to have improved at all, they still look crooked. Why is this? what should i do about it?,
A. Sometimes the teeth can seem to not have moved. Some teeth especially lower teeth (due to their size) can be resistant to moving. The dentist can take some new impressions of the teeth and submit a case refinement. This is where Invisalign make some more braces to \”fine tune\” the teeth to get them in the correct position.

I still feel there is room for improvement at the end of my treatment, what should I do?

March 30th, 2010

Q. At what stage of invisalign treatment is it normally decided whether refinements will be needed or not? I am coming to the end of my treatment and feel that there is still room for improvement. Shoudl I say something to my dentist or will it happen anyway?,
A. I think it is always wise to speak to your dentist about any concerns you have at whatever stage of treatment. If it is too early in the treatment, at least you will get reassurance.
