Q. I had the invisalign treatment last year and everything seemed great, I was given retainers to wear etc and my teeth looked amazing! I have noticed just recently that my teeth are moving again and they\’re not looking as great as they once did, as you can imagine I\’m very concerned but I don\’t know who to talk to about this, the lady that gave me the invisalign has moved on to another practice! Thank you for your time.,
A. Hello, You might want to call your Invisalign dentist and book an appointment. You could always wear the removable retainer for longer hours than you used to( even during the day).If it is not enought you migh twant to consider fixed retainer for a while.

Q. I\’ve tried all types of braces on my upper jaw as the traditional braces fixed my lower teeth but nothing seems to work on my upper teeth, I have 3 very stubborn teeth that are quite twisted and I am willing to give invisalign a try before I get them pulled out! In your opinion would invisalign help with very twisted teeth?,
A. You may have to consider braces such as Damon braces to correct severely rotated teeth as Invisalign doesn\’t work very well on severely crooked or twisted teeth. Very difficult to say what your options are and therefore I recommend you go for a consultation with a dentist that offers many forms of orthodontic treatments, such as Damon braces, Invisalign, Clearstep etc

Q. hello i have just recently received invisalign and it\’s great, it\’s not the problem. However i\’ve had a porcelain crown fixed for around 5 years now and since wearing the aligners it\’s becoming very loose and i fear that it will fall out. Is there some way i can get the aligners loosened around that tooth? the orthodontist did say the crown could not be moved but it does feel very loose.,
A. Hello, The best is to book an appointment with the dentist. During ortho treatment the teeth feel loose/ mobile and it is normal. However if the crown needs treatment it is better to sort it out.

Q. I accidentally put in one of my old trays, i got them mixed up and now my teeth are very painful. What should i do? Does this mean that i have to start my treatment from the beginning? I\’ve tried placing in the trays that i was supposed to be using but now they don\’t fit :(,
A. Hello, If you put in your previous set of aligners just carry on wearing them and book an appointment to see your provider.Your treatment might take a few more weeks longer then it was planned. The provider will decide whether you need mid-course correction or you can just carry on with the originally planned aligners.

Q. Hello! I\’ve noticed since having the invsalign in my oral health has deteriorated and i\’ve been brushing my teeth as usual and cleaning the trays etc so I don\’t understand what\’s happening but i\’ve noticed two small holes between the gaps in my front teeth, do you know why this could be happening?,
A. Has your diet changed in any way or do you have a sweet tooth and drink a lot of fizzy drinks? Diet can affect you oral health. Please make sure you see your dentist and hygienist regularly to help prevent problems. I would recommend you go and see your dentist to have those holes checked

Q. Hi Dr Raj Can I ask what the difference is between a cosmetic dentist and an orthodontist? I ask as my teeth have shifted since last having treatment about 12 years ago, how much do you charge for invisalign? I believe it is minor crowding Thanks
,
A. A cosmetic dentist can offer simple orthodontics or a cosmetic solution. An orthodontist can only offer orthodontics. In terms of cost, if you think you have mild crowding then the best bet is to get a dentist to examine and confirm it so. Our charges range from 3000-4000 as we do not treat simple crowding by stripping the enamel between the front teeth. Dr R Kumar BDSLDSRCS

Q. Hi, I have recently finished my Invisalign Treatment I had 7 trays in total and my treatment lasted 3 months. I was charged Invisalign prirces rather than Invisaglin express prices, is this correct? To begin with my problem was cosmetic my front tooth had moved out by about 2mm. I would be grateful for your advice. Many Thanks.
,
A. Hello Sarah, Every dentist charges different based on his experince, difficulty of the case and postop treatments/follow -ups or the type of reatiner he uses.I am afraid the laboratory fee is quite high at Invisalign.

Q. My dentist said that there could be a possibility that I\’d have to switch to traditional braces mid-treatment if the invisalign isn\’t going to plan. he never spoke about costs or anything so would this be included with the invisalign? because I might have to stop it, even though I\’ve already paid for it, I don\’t know how the payments work.,
A. It would be best to clarify this with the densit who spoke to you. It is at the discretion of that particular dentist.
