Are there any circumstances when you can receive invisalign for free?

September 2nd, 2010

Q. I understand that invisalign is a private treatment but are there any circumstances when you can receive it for free? I have a genetic problem which other braces haven\’t managed to fix so far you see thnks for your time,
A. Hello, Fisrt of all, I would recommend a consultation with a provider to find out if it is possible to have this type of treatment. You might want to check with your insurance company if it covers Invisalign based on your condition.

Has my tooth chipped because of the invisalign braces?

August 27th, 2010

Q. Since having the clear braces i\’ve experienced very sore back teeth. I\’ve felt them with my tongue and can feel that one half of my very back, top tooth is chipped! I think the braces have done this, what should I do?,
A. I would see your Invisalign provider. It i

s very unlikely that the totth would have chipped due to the braces.

Do you know of anyone that can provide invisalign in the Norfolk area?

August 27th, 2010

Q. Hello. I\’m looking for an invisalign provider in the norfolk area and haven\’t had much luck! Do you know of anyone in that area? Or of a site I can go to (other than invisalign, i\’ve tried that). I\’m struggling to find a very experienced orthodontist who provides this particular brace. Thanks,
A. I am sorry that you have not found anyone. Im based in Birmingham and Leeds and I could provide Invisalignin a way that you could attend every 8 weeks? Dr R Kumar BDSLDSRCS

Can I start the treatment here and carry on with it back in Malaysia?

August 6th, 2010

Q. Hi, I\’m a student from Malaysia currently studying in London. I have 4 more months left to be in London and i really wanted to do Invisalign. It is possible for me to have my first few aligners in here with a few consultations and the rest of them back in my own country ? ( sort of bringing all the aligners back ),
A. You could do but you would need to find a dentist in Malaysia to finish the remainder of the treatment. I would locate a dentist first in Malaysia before starting the Invisalign treatment though.

I’m scared to floss because of the invisalign, any advise?

July 27th, 2010

Q. I\’m new to invisalign and haven\’t really asked my orthodontist any questions. I\’m a bit scared to brush my teeth, my friend had invisalign and said every time she brushed her teeth her gums bled and i don\’t want that to happen to me, she also said that it\’s very painful when flossing, so i\’m scared to floss too. I don\’t want my teeth decaying etc so what do you advise?,
A. I would advise your friend see their Invisalign provider. Your gums should not be bleeding when you are having the Invisalign treatment! It should not be painful when flossing either!

My aligners are currentl very painful! Can I take anything to ease the pain?

June 10th, 2010

Q. Hi the aligners i\’m currently wearing (15/22) are very painful! The rest have been great so far, I know it\’s my teeth moving which is great because I know it\’s working :) just wondering, is there anything I can take to ease the pain? Because I obviously can\’t take the aligners out.,
A. Hello, You might want to mention the above to your dentist who could check the fit of your aligner, your teeth, your gum etc. If you wish you can take painkillers as well but first I would consult with the Invisalign Provider.
