Can invisalign cause any problems with the jaw?

July 14th, 2010

Q. Can invisalign cause any problems with the jaw? i have tmj problems but i\’m in dire need of braces, the orthodontist has recommended invisalign but i didn\’t ask if it would cause my jaw any trouble, what do you think? :),
A. The relationship between orthodontics and jaw problems is unclear. You should speak to your othodontist and as him for his opinion.

A. dear Sir/Madam, in my 6 years of doing Invisalign there is only perhaps 5 cases out of 3000 consultations, where there were jaw problems that I could not treat the patient. So yes I can help. My oldest patient is 75. All you need to do is to come in for a consultation. you may email nina admin@forma86.com Dr R Kumar BDSLDSRCS
