My Invisalign attachments have come off, but my dentist doesn’t seem to be that concerned.

December 15th, 2011
Q.

Hi I’m just starting my Invisalign odyssey, in am about a week into my first tray and two of the attachments have fallen off. i rang the dentists office and the receptionist told me as long as the aligner stayed in it wasn’t a big deal if the attachments had fallen off. Is this right? otherwise whats the point in having the attachments? any help you give on the matter to help me clear it up would be great.

I am worried about the pressure of braces on my teeth, is Invisalign a good option?

October 26th, 2011
Q.

how much pressure does invisalign put on the teeth? I had braces when I was younger that were fixed and i have never felt pain like it. I stuck with them for a month but then could not take it any longer and had to have them out. I am now 30 and would really love to have a decent smile, but i have been put off for years by the thought of all that pain again! I though id ask about invisalign, just as it isn’t a fixed brace, so i was hoping that it wouldn’t be as painful. Am i right in thinking this, or are there any other braces that would be even gentler? Im not worried about how long it takes as long as it gets done.

thank you doctor

I have nearly completed my Invisalign treatment but have suffered some root resorption, should I continue with the brace?

October 6th, 2011
Q.

Hi,

i have recently been having invisalign treatment until i started have horrible pain in on of top teeth. It turned out that i am suffering root absorption with about a quarter of the root gone. My dentist says i should stop the treatment but i feel that my teeth are almost perfect, what do you suggest?
also what can you do about root absoprtion? should i have the tooth taken out and replaced with an implant and if i did this could i continue with invisalign?

thank you

I have had Invisalign for two years and still no results. What can be done?

May 11th, 2011
Q.

I have been receiving Invisalign treatment – I am un happy with the results and the dentist carrying out the process. Was initially told it would take 6 months to a year and it is now nearly 2 years. Have had 3 sets of refinements, teeth still move during the day with gaps appearing and still have crossed lower teeth. Dentist now suggests veneers? – I would rather have straight natural teeth which is what I have paid the £3500 for. Can’t find anywhere to complain. Not sure what to do next. Please can you offer some advice.

I am missing some teeth, would this effect the Invisalign treatment?

February 4th, 2011
Q.
Hi I am missing a few teeth after an incident a couple of years ago. Would Invisalign still work even though I don’t have all the teeth I should have? and do you reckon straitening my teeth or replacing the missing ones is more important, i’ve benn doing some sums and I don’t think i have the dollar for both. thanks,

January 18th, 2011
Q.
I am considering Invisalign but am wondering if wearing the aligners and getting my teeth straightened would have an effect on my face shape. I am worried that getting this treatment and moving my teeth will make my face shape change. i don’t want this. please answer me thank you.,

December 2nd, 2010
Q.
I finished my invisalign treatment two months ago and was given advice by my dentist to wear the retainer for quite some time. he said every night for the next 6 months and then i can gradualy wear it less. can you tell me if i will have to do this until the end of my days? i am not bothered if this will make sure my new smile taskes the way it is, but how often would i need to wear it? a few nights a week or every night?,
