Q. hi, i finished my invisalign tratment about 6 months ago.I had them for over crowding and i am happy with the results but one tooth on the top never seemed to become straight even after my final braces and a couple more to try and straighten it.Is that normal?and also i have not been given a retainer i was told to wear my last trays as retainers.is that ok?because i dont want them to move back.thank you for your time,
A. Hi, Some movements of the teeth are difficult to achieve with Invisalign but I would go back and check with the dentist or orthodontist who did the treatment for you to express that you not entirely satisfied. I normally give the patient a new set of retainers after the treatment and the patient keeps the last trays as a backup (just in case something happens to the retainers) but not everyone is like this. Q. my teeth are very crowded (bottom sets) and i have a class 2 overbite my dentist said it\’s a severe case and i could be wearing braces for YEARS! can invisalign half the time i have to wear braces for?,
A. No, infact Invisalign is slower at moving teeth than conventional fixed braces. I would not expect Invisalign to straighten the teeth in half the time!

Q. hello i\’ve had fixed braces on before and they haven\’t fixed my overbite although my teeth are now perfectly straight! My friend suggested i try invisalign, can it fix my overbite? Have you treated anyone with invisalign and managed to fix their overbite any advice would be great thank you :),
A. I have fixed overbites it takes time they are often better treated with fixed braces.

Q. hi why is invisalign the best brace? i know it\’s clear and good for straightening the teeth but i need to know why it\’s better than other braces because it costs so much!,
A. Hello, Most patient appreciate the discret, invisible way to straighten their teeth.The fact that after removing the appliance you can eat, brush, floss as normal is a major benefit as well. The best is to book an inicial consultation with a dentist.

Q. I have a cross bite that causes my jaw to click I nned to have my jaw widend before the teeth can be straightened can you do this and if so what sort of costs am i looking at thank you in advance Sally,
A. Hello Sally, Your status might be challenging but I would advise a consultation first with an Ortho Specialist. Easier cases start from around £1500-£2000.
