True that invisalign can’t control movement of teeth roots?
November 20th, 2009
Q. Is it truth that invisalign cant control the movement of the teeth roots? I saw some research studies that invisalign can’t move the teeth roots as that of the metal braces and caused tilt axial alignment of teeth roots, which caused the teeth to move back to the orginal positions. So invisalign is not suitable for extraction cases.
A. This is is partially correct, Invisalign aligners find it very difficult to move the roots of the teeth because they are not fixed on to the teeth. However I have seen cases where Invisalign has been used to move teeth and their roots but it is not very easy and can take a long time!
